Volkswagen Golf 7 is the seventh version of the Golf and the successor to the Golf 6. The announcement was made on 4 September 2012 in Berlin, Germany. It was shown publicly for the first time during the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris in 2012.

The Opel Ampera is the first vehicle autonomy range (E-REV or "Extended Range Electric Vehicle") sold in Europe since the end of 2011.
It is built by General Motors in Detroit, Chevrolet Volt derived from sharing the same engine block.
It can run on electric power for about 60 km (about 175 Wh per km) after full charge on the sector. Indeed, only 10.5 kWh is used on the 16-kWh battery: it is never fully charged or fully discharged. The engine, 4 ECOTEC ® 63 kW (86 hp), then takes over, driven by the onboard computer it varying its speed as needed to recharge the battery, and is used only current generator and not as a direct propulsive force as a conventional hybrid vehicle.
